Nats Trade Rumor: Milledge for Morgan deal is close

According to both MLB Trade Rumors and The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette,
LMillz to Pitt?
the Pirates and Nationals are close to a deal of Nyjer Morgan for current minor leaguer Lastings Milledge. NLEC had first linked to the Post-Gazette on Saturday night regarding this rumor, but at that point the Nats did not want to include Craig Stammen. The details of this trade are still unknown, but we will update you as we see the details, this would be the Pirates second deal of the day.
As a Met fan watching his favorite team flounder, I look at this 2 ways:
1. At least the Pirates go down swinging.
2. It’s just re-arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.
It is actually the Pirates trying to take a long term view, and execute a plan to buiild a team for sustained success (or at least try to).
Not saying I particularly agree with their specific plan, but at least they have one.
I also might be in the minority, but I still think Milz will be a good productive player, and I would have been happy to see him back on the Mets.
