Hi guys wish I could say good morning but I was at last nights debacle and i’m just too tired and bummed . So lets get on with todays “This Day In Mets Infamy With Rusty”
Celebrating birthdays today is The Mets former bench coach and hitting instructor who holds the major leauge record for being hit by pitches Don ” NEVER BAIL OUT” Baylor (1949)
also celebratinf a birthday is Brooklyn’s own Joe Sambito (1952) - I believe he was part of the Bobby Ojeda deal along with Calvin Shiraldi either way he pitched 2 season with the Sawx before going back to the old neighborhood.
and the Mo Vaughn tidbit of the day- his wrestling alias was Bad News Brown.
and on another note - To the Mets - you are going against a pitcher with no wins and a E.R.A worse than Ollies - SO PLEASE WIN TONIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!

Bad New Brown was wayyy to skinny to be Mo Vaughn. Mabel might be a better comparison.

because of putz we couldnt even entertain dealing parnell for derosa….thanks putz!! its amazing how everything must fall in place to win.
Dandy Don Baylor (depending on his health, or course. How can one talk Mets and not mention health?) would be a fine replacement if it’s determined that Howard Johnson or Jerry Manuel must go.
