This Day In Mets Infamy With Rusty 10-08-09
Posted by rustyjr on 5:20am, Thursday October 8th 2009
Well it was a pretty slow day in Metsville ( pop. 12,000 ?) except for a window dressing end of the season, spin doctor interview on the Fatcessa show by Field General ( or is it Corporal Punishment these days ) Jerry Manuel. I wish I could say I was able to cut through all the Bull Sh%t that both these two bloviators were spewing but the sense that I got was that
1: Jerry is extremely surprised that he wasn’t fired
2: He has no qualms of throwing blame unto others yet accepting minimal for himself
3. Either Daniel Murphy or Angel Pagan will most likely be a starter when spring training breaks ( ugh)
4. Mike sure does like to suck every last drop out of his bottle of Diet Coke.
My prediction is come May 25th of next year If the roster has seen great turnover and everyone is healthy and the team is at or under .500 ,Manuel will be Dead Man Walking ! And now on to the infamy !!
On this day in 2002 , the New York Mets released relief pitcher Satoru Komiyama . The funny thing is that I barely remember him, he pitched in 25 games with a e.r.a just north of 5.00
Well the Yanks and Phils won last night & and we all know what that means - yup taking crap from all the SKANKEES & PHILTHY fans out there - I need me a Valium !

To your 4 points:
1. He’s not the only one.
2. He’s learning from Omar’s examples.
3. Pagan is a moron on the field, I want him nowhere near a starting job with us, and I’d really like to explore getting a real 1B.
4. Too many jokes, not going there this early in the morning. :p
Sad day in baseball yesterday, as both those teams won. It really sickens me to see cheering Yankee fans on the TV.
Disappointing day all the way around. The Twins and Rockies are just not cooperating….
Fire Jerry! (sorry, it’s therapeutic to say it)
No Mets in the Papers today. No Mets news other than the Billy trade. Maybe I’ll start doing Mets on the Web and take a look at what other blogs are writing.
