ESPN Fires D-Bag Steve Phillips

Vengeance is sweet my friends, as Steve Phillips has been fired from his analyst job at ESPN. As the Indians have hired Manny Acta as their new manager, it appears that Bobby Valentine will take over Phillips’ position. If that doesn’t put a smile on your face, then you might just be a robot.

Perfect for Me as I was not big on Bobby V managing again, evidently neither was the Indians. However, he is much more intelligent and entertaining to watch than Phillips.
My take always was if we got into mid October with Jerry and/or Omar still here, there going to be here for the start of the season. As it’s 25 October, it’s a sure bet Jerry is the manager come April.
So no need for the ‘get Bobby V’ chants any longer….
Phillips….some people never learn.
At least we don’t have to hear his ‘Beltran needs to go’ rants on Sunday night baseball anymore.

All bummed this morning because the G-Men lost but my attitude has changed after reading this quote:
“Steve Phillips is no longer working for ESPN,” network spokesman Josh Krulewitz said in a statement. “His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways.”

were they ever….i switched over to mlb network full time mostly because of him(and they truly are better).
Dishnetwork is still behind the times there (mlb contract with DirectTV sucks). So I am stuck for now.
Did you guys know that Phillips also voluntarily checked himself into a clinic? Didn’t say what it was for, but probably either sex addiction or being attracted to youngin’s.

My biggest problem is how does it end up being with an actor cut from star wars because she was too ugly?
ESPN blows. They fire Phillips because of something he did away from the show, but say nothing when he’s embarrassing the newtork On Air.
I think they allowed that on purpopse. It actually got peoples attention.
He wasn’t fired because of the incident; he was fired because of the negative media attention following the event. S’all business.
